• This OFF Site program is offered at The Calgary Zoo, address: 210 St. George's Drive NE, Calgary, AB T2E 7V6. Delegates are responsible for their own, round-trip transportation.
Immerse yourself in Destination Africa while its resident animals inspire you in this workshop that will demonstrate strategies and techniques that combine art with scientific inquiry and open the door to creative expression and descriptive writing. No previous artistic experience necessary, just a willingness to give it a whirl! Please bring a journal to add your creations to.

(PRE-REG) Canadian Landscape à la Ted Harrison
• Pre-Registration is required.
• There is a participant fee of $10. Please bring exact change to be collected at the session, by the speaker.

For those who love Canada’s North, Ted Harrison is a MUST. His use of vibrant colours and bold lines made him a favourite artist among Canadian students. With the help of chalk-, oil pastels, and mixed media, 3 beautiful sceneries will come to life. The level of difficulty can be adjusted according to the grade level taught. Participants will be provided with a set of handouts and a PowerPoint presentation (bring your own USB stick) that can be used directly in their art classrooms. Open to art and general teachers of grades 4- 10. All supplies provided by instructor. $10 registration fee.

• Pre-Registration is required.
If you like Pop Art, you need to register in this workshop right away! You will learn how to create colourful, funky prints in the easy way while working work on multiple layers. This will become your students’ favourite art project! Participants will be provided with a set of handouts and a PowerPoint presentation that can be used directly in the art classroom. The level of difficulty can be adjusted according to the grade level taught. Open to art and general teachers of grades 4 - 12. All supplies provided by instructor. $10 registration fee.
