Guidance will be offered on how to successfully implement the Lucy Caulkins Writer's Workshop in K-6 classrooms. The focus will be on how to engage students to love writing and simplify the lesson planning process for teachers. There will be Q & A time embedded in the session.

I currently teach grade 6 Language Arts and Science at a K-8 school. I have taught Kindergarten, and Grades 1 & 2 also. I am passionate about the Lucy Calkins Units of Study as an engaging and effective way to teach reading and writing in a K-6 context.
