In this session Mike will explore the premise that creativity is really a set of skills that can be taught and honed. We will look at these skills and then play our way through a number of creativity exercises. These activities are suitable for use in Art (as sketchbook assignments or anchoring activities), useful for cultivating creative thinkers in the sciences, helpful for Humanities students as they analyse and write about issues and themes, super for teaching and expanding on sketchnoting skills and great for Brainbreaks in longer High School classes. You will take a way a set of creativity exercises and we’ll have some fun exploring ways to infuse our classrooms with creative thinking.
