• Pre-Registration is required.
• This OFF Site program is offered at The Calgary Zoo, address: 210 St. George's Drive NE, Calgary, AB T2E 7V6. Delegates are responsible for their own, round-trip transportation.
This playful in-class session is for teachers with any level of nature play programming experience. We will begin with an introduction to nature play and then explore the risks and rewards of including nature play in programs. The Calgary Zoo encourages nature play so that children gain the positive experiences in nature that will help them develop into conservation stewards for the future.
We will share tips, tricks, definitions and perspectives on risky play and free play. Part of the session will be a brainstorm about barriers and challenges. Come ready to share your successes and strategies, ask questions and gain lots of resources.
