Students are competitive. Putting them in control of robots, especially one they design/build themselves, provides ownership of learning that is unparalleled. With competition, students match their skills against each other to be the best they can be! The future is robotic and autonomous, and it is our job to prepare them for these careers.

In this workshop, you will learn to build and program robots from metal and bolts, attach wheels, motors, and sensors. In small teams, you will work to design and build a robot to complete a challenge against others in the workshop. Prizes are given to the winning team! This is not LEGO Mindstorms. This is the real deal, programmed in glorious C++. All skill levels are welcome, from beginning to advanced.

Additionally, you will learn how to start your own robotics program in your school, and take the fight to others by joining regional robotics tournaments throughout Alberta.

Get ready for the most exciting, hands on workshop you have ever had at Teacher's Convention!
